Thulamahashe Showgrounds

The Thulamahashe Showgrounds, a landmark steeped in nostalgia and memories for generations, has ushered in a new era as the facility re-opens under new management and hopes for the return of a major annual attraction, the Bohlabela Show.

In April 2023 the Bushbuckridge Youth Empowerment Initiative secured a lease on the property which had been abandoned for more than two decades.

The BYEI intends on setting up an “economic village” where residents and local businesses from the Bushbuckridge are given opportunities to grow and work together.

The spaces for local economic development and small, medium and micro enterprises (SMMEs), a business precinct, outdoor events, play area and amusement park, government conference centre together with indoor events and weekend market stalls.
The property is located in Thulamahashe in the Bushbuckridge Local Municipality under the Ehlanzeni District Municipality in Mpumalanga.

It is available to host a variety of events of different sizes, shapes and form.
